No Cause for Distress

Have you read the news today--and yesterday?
A new mall is opening up on Saturday.
It should be better than snow in July.
There will be puppets and singers and airplanes that write in the sky.

Have you read the news today? I forget where--
I think I saw a blurb on the back page--not too much there.
‘Bout the sweatshops overseas, and forced labor in the mills
I had to put my Nike’s (or Puma’s) on and run around the block to fight the chills…

I've tried to find it in the news before... Dug through headlines to find how many have died in this war.
It seems to me with all these bombs we could be making quite a mess.
Must be an oversight, or everything's fine, no cause for distress.

Did you see the headlines on the front page, two weeks in a row?
They say this mall is bigger and better than others we know.
Can we go?—so many cool shops and restaurants there.
We only find others like them, just about everywhere...
